If you’re a blogger, you’ll know that it can sometimes be hard to keep writing and growing your blog.

Fortunately, there are some simple strategies to keep blogging relevant and exciting for you and your readers.

Let’s take a look at these strategies now…

1. Keep up with blogging trends

It’s important to stay on top of the latest trends in blogging. This way, you can create content that is both engaging and appealing for your readers.

Current trends include creating posts that are between 1,500-2,000 words in length, and also making your posts visual by including relevant graphs, photos and videos.

2. Showcase your writing skills

Blogging is an opportunity to showcase your writing skills. Be sure to share your best work with your readers on a regular basis.

Remember, depending on your chosen topic, you’re likely to be competing with hundreds or even thousands of other writers – so you must make your content shine and stand out from the crowd.

3. Be creative

There is no ‘one size fits all’ approach to blogging. Instead, be creative and experiment with different formats and styles of writing.

You may find that it takes weeks or even months to find the writing style and voice that attracts readers. Given this, be sure to be patient as well as creative.

4. Create engaging content

Your readers will appreciate quality content that is well written and interesting to read. My advice is to make sure you focus on providing value to your readers instead of just selling them products or services.

Engaging content also includes storytelling. So if you can package your message in a story form, do so. Everyone loves a good story.

5. Make use of social media to promote your blog

Social media is a powerful tool for promoting your blog. Use platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter to reach new readers and share interesting content from your blog with your followers.

And of course, be sure to engage with your audience and other bloggers on social media. This will help you be part of a community and help attract more attention to your blog.

6. Experiment with different types of blogging

If you’re not sure what type of blogging style works best for you, try out a few different styles and see which ones are most popular with your readers.

This potentially means trying out various topics to cover, as well as experimenting with post styles such as listicles and interviews.

7. Write in a conversational tone

Blogging is a conversational medium. You should use informal language and include examples to illustrate your points.

Nowadays, the majority of people expect short, punchy and conversational language when reading blogs. This means it’s best to keep your sentences and paragraphs short, as well as writing in the first person.

You’ll likely find it easy to write conversationally if you include lots of stories about your personal experiences.

8. Use the power of SEO

Make sure to tune your blog for search engine optimization (SEO). This will help your blog rank high in Google and other search engines, which will increase the number of visitors who find your content.

SEO can appear complicated and technical – but it doesn’t have to be. For a quick introduction to SEO, check out my recent post: Super Simple SEO for Bloggers

9. Partner with AI

If you’re struggling for time to write your content, consider partnering with an Al-powered writing assistant. These innovative tools can help you create high-quality, engaging blog posts quickly and easily.

I’ve been using Bramework AI for the last few months, and not only does it help me write faster – but it also keeps my writing fresher through suggesting things I may not have thought about.

You can grab yourself a 7-day free trial of Bramework via my referral link. And if you like the tool (which I think you will), you can also get 50% off your first month’s subscription by using my promo code: 50M1PERCENTOFF

10. Keep a positive attitude

No matter how hard you try, it’s likely that not all of your blog posts will attract readers and be successful. However, don’t get discouraged – it takes time and effort to produce high-quality content, as well growing an audience.

Striving to maintain a positive mental attitude while trying to grow your blog will help you stay motivated and excited about your writing career.

Stick with it.

Success eventually comes to those who keep going.
